Explore CamNorte: Pabirik Festival.

Every 2nd of February, the town of Paracale in the province of Camarines Norte celebrates its town fiesta in the honor of the town's patron saint, Nuestra Seniora de Candelaria.

Now on its 14th year, the Pabirik Festival is a  week long celebration that showcasing the town's richness in it's mining industry.

The highlight of the festivity is the street dancing competition, participated by the different schools and organization in the town. The dancer performs around the streets in the town while wearing their colorful costume with their face and body painted. Even under the hot sun, the performers still manage to perform well  to entertain the people who are witnessing the event.

It's been 4 years since the last time that I've participated on this event, because I'm taking my studies in Manila. Now, i appreciate it even more than before. I am surprised to see that after 4 years the event seems to be better than what i recalled. Hopefully, on the following years a lot more people appreciates this event, just like i did.
